Norris Lake

Norris Lake offers a variety of activities enticing almost anyone to get out on the lake and enjoy it.  With over 33,000 acres of water, 800 miles of shoreline, and traveling 73 miles up the Clinch River and 56 miles up the Powell River, Norris Lake has a lot to offer.  Fishing, swimming, boating, water skiing, and of course, relaxation.
Being a clean lake, Norris provides habitat for large and smallmouth bass, spotted and striped bass, bluegill, crappie, walleye, and catfish. Below the dam the Clinch River flows to Clinton and Oak Ridge. It’s water is approximately 54 degrees year round. This cool, flowing water provides great conditions for trout. Whether fly fishing, standing on the bank, or sitting in a boat, it is a spot anglers are sure to stop at.

If you prefer boating, Norris Dam Marina is located at the dam. They offer a full service marina. They rent pontoon, bass, and house boats. The restaurant is open seasonaly. Contact the marina for more information at 865-494-8138.
